Community Service

Community Service Chair is Luanne Halleran, assisted by Sharon Dow, for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

If you would like to make quilts for Community Service the size for children’s quilts is 40 x 50 and for adults 40 x 60.  That makes it easier for us to make backings (40 inches allows us to use width-of-fabric for backings).

We will be having a Sit-and-Sew on the 4th Monday of the month at the DeGrout Library on Malabar Rd in Palm Bay, from 9am to 2pm, and you can bring a lunch with you.  The fellowship is great and it’s a wonderful way to pick up quilting tips and new skills.

Seaside Piecemakers’ donations of time, fabrics, blocks, completed tops, and finished quilt enable Community Service to donate many quilts to needy individuals and organizations throughout the year.
