Member Teachers


Seaside Piecemakers is home to many talented quilters who share their talent and knowledge in member teacher classes. Member teacher classes meet at the Satellite Beach Library from 9 am to noon unless otherwise noted.

Fillers, Sashings, Settings, and Borders
How to wrangle your blocks into a finished quilt top
Our very own stars of the M&M So Charming Facebook group, Marjorie Mulla
and Mary Nielsen will teach methods and techniques for combining random
blocks into a cohesive unit to create a quilt top that “Works”. You will leave with
the skills necessary to accomplish what you once thought impossible. Fun and
educational for anybody who has ever made a block (or 12) that ended up being
an orphan.
Class will start at 12:30 pm so pack a lunch to eat after the General Meeting and
stay for a fun class.
Orphan blocks and/or BOM blocks
Graph paper
Colored pencils
Camera (phone camera will do)
Variety of fabrics - no smaller than a fat quarter (neutrals, darks, small prints,
stripes, etc.)
Cutting mat and rotary cutter (optional)
Sewing machine (optional)
Cost to members is $10, shall be paid at the time of registration, and is not
refundable. You can sign up and pay in person during our General Meetings in
March and April or online starting at the end of March.
