Special Exhibit
Our Special Exhibit for The Artistry of Quilts Quilt Show is appropriately, local artist: Kestrel Michaud.

Kestrel is a classically-trained, internationally recognized and award-winning fine artist who specializes in making realistic pictures out of fabric. She started making fused applique fabric pictures (no stitching) as a 15-year-old in High School. Thirteen years later, she discovered the world of art quilting, bought a sewing machine and started turning her fabric picture designs into quilts. It was at that point that Kestrel finally started making the artwork she was most passionate about: Steampunk.

Some of you got to meet her last summer when she visited the guild. She shared some of her work and now is planning a complete exhibit of her work from the beginning to present for us.
Kestrel is even holding back entering some of her latest quilts into shows so that they will be available to exhibit at our show!
