Jeannie Miller from Accuquilt will be coming to present a lecture and demo of the how and the best ways to use your Go cutter.  You won’t want to miss this one.

October 2021

Susan Rienzo is an award winning Fiber Artist who makes Art Quilts; she will present a lecture/trunk show & workshop for us in October. Susan has a degree in Fashion Design from Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia. She discovered quilting in 1982 which allowed her to combine her passion for color and graphic design with sewing! To read more about Susan, go to her website at: https://www.susanrienzodesigns.com/

Susan’s lecture/trunk show is titled My quilts, Overview of the Art Quilt Movement and How I Was Inspired by it: With Inspiration for Your Journey.” The workshop is Whimsical Modern Broderie Perse: POT OF BLOOMS.  You’ll learn an easy cut and fuse technique to make your own one-of-a-kind modern and bold blooms still life. Learn how to re-evaluate your stash, and trade with friends to grow your new collection. Broderie Perse is an age-old technique, but now anything goes! No pattern needed! Trust your intuition and build your confidence. To see examples of this quilt, go to: https://www.susanrienzodesigns.com/flora-gallery

The lecture is Wednesday, Oct 27th followed by the workshop that afternoon. Both are at the usual meeting place, the Azan Shriners Center. The workshop fee is $35.
